29. Holiday in Finland

So yeah we had the reading week last week, and that meant I packed my bags and headed back home for a few days. Had a great time and met so many ppl, but also had some time to sleep yey. I didnt only eat a lot, but the food was pretty unhealthy too... well well. Now im suffering with no money for a while, so maybe it was just a good thing to get some fat around my bones. I also imported bread and karjalanpiirakka and cheese and chocolate and mannapuuro (a kind of porridge), domino-cookies etc heheee :DD

So about the things i did!!

The plane landed around midnight so the first day that really counts was thursday. I went to Suski's, we just hanged out and ate, then took the dogs out (omg i typed it as 'gods' and only noticed before posting XD) :33 Ruska was the thing i'd missed the most, but she didnt seem that happy to see me D::: well she came there and was like "ooooo someone came, give me love~" but then just went back to bed ;; felt my heart break. Well she was lovely anyway. Then watched a movie with my little brother (who's not that little anymore o.o has bigger shoes than i do, oh my.. what happened??) at night, i heard he had been waiting for me like the most and wanted me to watch all his new movies with him~ sweeet.

Then I just drove and drove and drove and drove and DROVE (and made some essential purchases like tooth paste). aaaa i love driving. it just.. alsjdlsaj<33

Friday was a buuusy day. My friends Anna and Veera moved in together (wish u guys luck~) so we went to help them with that. Hahaha the last tenant before them had painted the walls absolutely horrible :___D i've never seen anything even near of that: the living room was the same blue as moomin house, the corridor right next to it bright red, the kitchen bright yellow and one of the other rooms plum violet. They just started to paint them when we left, so im sure it will look great soon, apart from the colours the place was really nice!

Thennn, straight after that we met with our high school team at Salla's and played Rappakalja for a few hours XD one just can not to love the game, try it if u havent already~ Then i picked kukka up and we went back home to eat and then left for Oona's birthday parties. The theme was pajama party, so the atmosphere was just relaxed and great, hell a lot of food again, and nearly all the high school friends i still hadnt met were there too. Cuz of the theme i didnt bother to use any make-up and just went in the boxer shorts i'd received as a 17th b-day present from Meli during my exchange :D and a hoodie my sister gave me, she bought it when she visited me in tokyo this spring but didnt really use it :33 thankyouuuuuuuuuu.

we bought this box (its so cool inside and there are many mini-sections for jewellery) and then put various stuff like sweets and earrings etc inside the different sections~ wanna have one of these too!

On saturday we were supposed to go to Valtsu, the biggest (i suppose?) second-hand market in Helsinki, but it was a national holiday and at least the basic shops like food markets were closed, so we didnt want to risk it. So we slept long, then went to rent some movies at night~ I saw the SAW for the first time, and it was brilliant :oo though the scene where adam goes to check out his apartment during the power cut and finds the masked man in his closet still haunts me... D:::::

Actually we had made some plans before, about hanging out with some friends at night but i think everyone just got lazy and no-one contacted anybody, so it turned into a movie night then :D there's no limit for my laziness, srsly.. and on sunday there was this traditional tea party at salla's i really wanted to go to, but we missed that cause we didnt wake up...........

For the whole weekend the fog was amazing *www* you really couldnt see a thing!! driving was scary and even ruska got scared during the walk and didnt wanna move on :oo it was a spooky moment, there was some strange noise but u couldnt see anyone and the fact that it was pyhäinpäivä (the night when you recall all the ppl who passed away) made it even spookier XDD oh well.

Well im back in Kingston again, and have now decided to try and work fucking hard from this moment on! It's been working actually, i've done school stuff every day for a couple of hours :DD so proud of myself!!

Ohhh, i joined sky diving society before this autumn, and this weekend im gonna jump finally!!! :DD cant wait cant wait!! wish me luck i might need that

4. Happy New Year!!

So the day before yesterday I went to Erica's, her dad had that pre- New Years Eve party thing and she had invited some friends over too ♪  I live quite far away from the place so I drove there and gave up the drinking for the night hahaha

It always is a bit awkward to be the only sober person among all the drunks (not that it would happen that often XD) that are having such a good time laughing at everything and everyone but I managed, like a master! No, it was a nice evening and I love driving, particularly the feeling when u speed alone the nightly streets~~ The look of the day!

Then there was yesterday, the New Year's Eve! In the morning  I went to the work (not to the school, I have been cleaning the office where my mom works for about three years now) and later the same day we gathered to Erica's again before leaving for DTM and the party night!! Cuz of the big night the tram I took to Tehtaankatu (aka Erica's) had changed its usual route so I had to walk for 15 minutes instead of two seconds to get there, but I walked with a random (but attractive haha) woman who was heading near the same place so it wasnt that boring in the end B)

DTM was pretty crowded as it was the bar's last day at Iso Roobertinkatu so I got across with many unexpected acquaintances, which was nice tho! Since I've spent the last two New Years in Japan I'd have loved to see some amazing fireworks, but nobody was that keen on seeing them and all just wanted to be in the bar so I stayed with them and didnt go outside alone D:::

For me the fireworks are the thing that really make the New Year's Eve, but well, I've seen them many times already XDD So what's the big deal...!

New Year's Eve outfit! I love the jeans, I found them at last year's sales (Ginatricot). A bit like horse-riding pants~ the only minus is that they dont have any pockets >,<" The belt was bought in Japan, 109 part 2 has an amazing accessory store at the top floor that sells belts, caps and bags! Pure love, I have bought there two bags and other belts too<3

At the edge of the year when the screens started to show the time till the change it hit me. What had I been doing the whole year?? Normally in the end it feels you've achieved something. Something that would have changed your life. A lot of new friends, a new relationship, a new school maybe...

I couldnt think of anything.

The 2010 had been great, I had just got back from Japan and felt I lived more than ever, got many new friends and became more like the person I had always wanted to be. The 2009 was even more fabulous, my exchange had changed every single thing in my life. But 2011 was just... months and days that passed by. Sure, I had had a great deal of fun but nothing significant had happened in my life. PANIC.

So that's maybe a good start for 2012. I have finished my school and have no idea about the future so everything is possible and I'm sure this year will contain a lot of traveling and meeting exciting ppl that will change everything~

AND btw I just got an email from my host family today!!! Havent checked it out yet but I'm very excited wooooh!! What will it have to say??!?

If I should make a promise or wish etc for this year, I'd try to be more true to myself. Not to care about what others might think of you and do what feels right for you to do. It's my life anyways. My big problem is to think too much and let the critique let me down easily so that needs to be changed! I also decided to start a 'book' where i'd write one good thing of each day for the whole year :__D So in the end of 2012 I'd have 365 positive thoughts collected yey

The night had its ups and downs but the overall impression was good. I had whole a lot of drinks but not too much and I left the bar and got back by the 3:40 a.m.'s bus with Veera. I got to sleep at 5 am but it was okay since today is a day off~~~ welcome 2012 haha

Note also the amazing cards!! (one with the girl drawn by Kukka and the other one with the drunken fox by Suski)

This day I've been just watching the Big Bang Theory (I just ordered the box with all the 4 seasons :D) in my pajamas and took the dog out. She was still scared of the fireworks so she didnt want to go far but started to pull backwards to the direction of our home XDD you poor thing!!

So maybe tomorrow I'll go and check out some SALES! Or then I'll just continue my new eat-sleep-computer-eat-computer-sleep-computer -daily routine ha

3. Friday, Friday

Morning~

right now I'm on my way to home, after yesterday's party I slept at Kukka's place so.. Yeah. Trying to make my first post on my iPhone, lets see how this will turn out to be lol

So yesterday we went to play Megazone and after that had a dinner at a japanese restaurant!! The evening was nice and i met many friends, there were 20 of us :3 if you're not familiar with megazone, it's a kind of a lazer game where you shoot another team's players with a lazer-gun and collect points :DD it's extremely cool and funny even for me who doesnt enjoy doing sports that much! Makes you feel like a warrior-----! Whoossh~

After the games we went to Koto at Lönnrotinkatu, where I had a table booked for us!! It had been SUCH a long long time since I last ate japanese ヽ(；▽；)ノ food was absolutely delicious~ me and Suski got Sukiyaki, which is my favourite japanese (well i could say favourite food actually XD). It was kinda expencive, but it was my Bday so mum payed for me ..... XD it was my present from her.

wtf it seems i cant upload any pics when blogging on my phone...! I should get a blogger app maybe....? Hmmmmm tricky well I'll post the pictures to the next post then D::

Well anyway, after having eaten (too much, the amount of the food was crazy..!) everybody started to head for their homes. I went to Kukka's cuz they had moved lately and i wanted to see the new house. It was old and kinda spooky, you could almost sense the ghosts and monsters outside the windows..! You know when at night it always seems such a great idea to go to a friend's but in the morning you'll always be like uhgh i wanna get a shower and go to computer etcetc XD and i missed my first bus so i had to take a longer route wich takes over an hour to get home duh.

Well well. I also got invited to a friend's pre-new year party this night so i think i'll go there today~ lately it's been so busy as everyone has the holidays so you can go out more than normally ♪( ´▽｀)

2. Batman

Yesterday my friend Suski asked me to come with them to an art event in Helsinki. The point was to take your drawing equipment with and draw in one of the Kallio's bars, Lepakkomies (lepakko=bat, mies=man so the name translates as batman :D). There also was a theme Soviet Russia, so they played some Soviet music and the model was dressed in a... umm maybe not so traditional Russian costume but still XD

I don't draw at all but all the other I hanged with have gone to an art school or just draw a lot in their free time. But who cares, it was a nice evening and even tho I'm a very poor at drawing anything (seriously, if I try to draw lets say a pig people will think it's a dog) I actually tried yesterday :__D the drinks were cheap too :D My outfit for the event~~

I love the hoody, I bought it during my exchange year but there haven't been that many chances to wear it as it's extremely warm. However now when we dont have a proper the winter (it's plus grades, in Finland, in December?!?? -__-") you can go out wearing a leather jacket and the hoody is perfect to wear under it!!

They also had some competitions during the night and our group happened to win the group sketch! OMG I'm sure it was totally because of my amazing skills X///D We got Fazer chocolate package as a present and ate the whole 500g..... After the Christmas I had sworn not to eat any chocolate for a year or so (Finnish christmas=you stay home/visit  relatives and eat for 3 days) but yeah.. Chocolate is good<3

Then some more mirror teen whore pics of myself~~ I bought the black shirt at a second-hand store I went with my lilsister earlier this weak (monday I think...?)! I love it, I can make a post later and show the other clothes I found there!

Today evening I'll do something special with a group of friends as it's my birthday yey! I'm not one of those ppl who love B-days/christmas/name days etc (actually I didnt remember it was my bday before my mom came to me like "happy bday~"..!!), but as the last two years I've been in Japan and even had fever when I turned 18, which is a kinda important day in here cuz you will be of age then, I thought this year I'll celebrate probably :D
