29. Holiday in Finland

So yeah we had the reading week last week, and that meant I packed my bags and headed back home for a few days. Had a great time and met so many ppl, but also had some time to sleep yey. I didnt only eat a lot, but the food was pretty unhealthy too... well well. Now im suffering with no money for a while, so maybe it was just a good thing to get some fat around my bones. I also imported bread and karjalanpiirakka and cheese and chocolate and mannapuuro (a kind of porridge), domino-cookies etc heheee :DD

So about the things i did!!

The plane landed around midnight so the first day that really counts was thursday. I went to Suski's, we just hanged out and ate, then took the dogs out (omg i typed it as 'gods' and only noticed before posting XD) :33 Ruska was the thing i'd missed the most, but she didnt seem that happy to see me D::: well she came there and was like "ooooo someone came, give me love~" but then just went back to bed ;; felt my heart break. Well she was lovely anyway. Then watched a movie with my little brother (who's not that little anymore o.o has bigger shoes than i do, oh my.. what happened??) at night, i heard he had been waiting for me like the most and wanted me to watch all his new movies with him~ sweeet.

Then I just drove and drove and drove and drove and DROVE (and made some essential purchases like tooth paste). aaaa i love driving. it just.. alsjdlsaj<33

Friday was a buuusy day. My friends Anna and Veera moved in together (wish u guys luck~) so we went to help them with that. Hahaha the last tenant before them had painted the walls absolutely horrible :___D i've never seen anything even near of that: the living room was the same blue as moomin house, the corridor right next to it bright red, the kitchen bright yellow and one of the other rooms plum violet. They just started to paint them when we left, so im sure it will look great soon, apart from the colours the place was really nice!

Thennn, straight after that we met with our high school team at Salla's and played Rappakalja for a few hours XD one just can not to love the game, try it if u havent already~ Then i picked kukka up and we went back home to eat and then left for Oona's birthday parties. The theme was pajama party, so the atmosphere was just relaxed and great, hell a lot of food again, and nearly all the high school friends i still hadnt met were there too. Cuz of the theme i didnt bother to use any make-up and just went in the boxer shorts i'd received as a 17th b-day present from Meli during my exchange :D and a hoodie my sister gave me, she bought it when she visited me in tokyo this spring but didnt really use it :33 thankyouuuuuuuuuu.

we bought this box (its so cool inside and there are many mini-sections for jewellery) and then put various stuff like sweets and earrings etc inside the different sections~ wanna have one of these too!

On saturday we were supposed to go to Valtsu, the biggest (i suppose?) second-hand market in Helsinki, but it was a national holiday and at least the basic shops like food markets were closed, so we didnt want to risk it. So we slept long, then went to rent some movies at night~ I saw the SAW for the first time, and it was brilliant :oo though the scene where adam goes to check out his apartment during the power cut and finds the masked man in his closet still haunts me... D:::::

Actually we had made some plans before, about hanging out with some friends at night but i think everyone just got lazy and no-one contacted anybody, so it turned into a movie night then :D there's no limit for my laziness, srsly.. and on sunday there was this traditional tea party at salla's i really wanted to go to, but we missed that cause we didnt wake up...........

For the whole weekend the fog was amazing *www* you really couldnt see a thing!! driving was scary and even ruska got scared during the walk and didnt wanna move on :oo it was a spooky moment, there was some strange noise but u couldnt see anyone and the fact that it was pyhäinpäivä (the night when you recall all the ppl who passed away) made it even spookier XDD oh well.

Well im back in Kingston again, and have now decided to try and work fucking hard from this moment on! It's been working actually, i've done school stuff every day for a couple of hours :DD so proud of myself!!

Ohhh, i joined sky diving society before this autumn, and this weekend im gonna jump finally!!! :DD cant wait cant wait!! wish me luck i might need that

24. Kapibara-san and a trip to Korea

Yesterrrrrday was great~<3

I made it out of house after the flu and it was nearly 20 degrees o(*,*)O' went to visit the school again with my ex area rep, she had to be there with her new exchange student and her host family~ it was so very nostalgic to listen how the principal told about the clubs and bunkasai and school trip and all :DD

They also took the sizes of the school uniforms for the two students and we waited in the school store (yep our school has its own store, there were even aoyama gakuin hello kittys O.O" i bought three pens and a hand towel ;3), i talked with the new teacher for an hour or so about how the world has become crazy and about the money situation etc, freedom and human rights... So i guess im a better person now haha

Annnnnnywayyy, after the school part we had a lunch with my area rep (soe-san from now on) and her son's wife who is now staying at their place because she has a 7-months-old baby and her own parents work so it's easier that way, it was some fancy sobayasan in omotesando. They were planning a trip to Thailand on Golden Week so we also went to the travel agency to book the right trip with the guided sightseeing and stuff, as you may know japanese love those kind of things..... I even heard there are Europe trips with 4 countries where you stay 2 days in each and see EVERYTHING with super schedule and then are dead in the end of each day ;__D but many ppl only book the travel with flights and hotel, so that there will be a guide that takes everyone to the hotel and after that you're on your own. Many times you might spare some money with those kind of 'package-trips'.

So what i had forgotten to announce here is, that i booked a trip to Korea about a month ago!! I'll fly from Osaka to Seoul on 30th April, and then come back to Japan on 7th May. Gonna be so greatttttttt~ The flights are from osaka, so after having returned to Japan i thought id also check out kansai a bit before returning to tokyo!! have never been there before, so will be interesting!! So it would be two weeks of travelling around and having some crazy time alone, and then back to Finland on 16th May.

At first i really didnt have any purpose to travel, but then i found this amazing blog that gave me some inspiration and made me wanna travel so badly, to take everything from these 3 months. So i booked the flights from the korean cheap flight company (that's the reason you cant go from tokyo) and a friend that made her exchange to korea told me a great youth hostel in the seoul center in the best place possible, or that's what she says, i dont have the slightest idea of anything that has something to do with korea, so it will be fun to see how it differents from japan! I have this image that koreans are more lively and vibrant, and the language sounds so exotic, i love it!! i wonder if i should learn the hangul marks before going hmmm.

So that's the news from here! One of the other reasons of taking off is that lately i've become more and more sure i'll go to kingston to study that fucking expensive course, so once i'll be there i wont have any money to travel for a while! So now i'll just have to take every opportunity i have, and yeah, it's much cheaper to travel to asia from here than from finland. I only paid 250 euros for the flights, and the hostel will be about 80 euros for a week, including breakfast O.O cheap!!

Yesterday i just got some travelling fever (i dont know if you can say that in english?!?) in that travel agency, and the wife of soe-san's son was kind and gave me a guide book, so i guess i should start planning a bit :DD 7 days of seoul!! i want to meet some friends too, so i hope you'll make have some time for me then ;) be prepared for giving me some guidance~

Oh i also got an invitation for dinner some day and an old phone she didnt need anymore that you can WATCH TELEVISION WITH ;__;<3<3 god bless you-i-dont-remember-your-name-but-yeah and your baby (  ´,`)~

Today there is a storm outside, so i just decided to stay home plus i think yesterday my flu got a bit worse because i went out sooooo another day at home....... but i took all out of it, i went to by some food (srsly, it was scary to ride a bike in that wind and rain) and WINE ;_;<3 when i was sick i bought a memembership for nordic tv and watched too many romantic comedies (tho friends with benefits was great, i might be in love with mila kunis aaaaa), so tonight i'll watch fast and furious and get a little drunk alone, eat pizza after a month fuck japanese pizza, tastes terrible, but well, it still is pizza and have a party yea.

oh btw i saw this on the grocery store and couldnt help laughing XDDD toilet paper with ocha flavor?!? (ocha=green tea) even the colour is green ;_D

the cheap wine i bought, but it's not that bad at all!!

And there will be my new buddy, i bought her yesterday and my life standard really arouse ;__; welcome to the family, i have wanted you for 3 long years and at last you're mine ;_;<3<3<3 lets live happy lives together~ i really needed something cute and fluffy now that my ruska puppy is not here D::: aaa i heard she's sleeping in my room every day how adorable is that ;_;_;;_;_;

she needs a name, now it's just howaito-chan (the white ones are called that way and i preferred this to brown)

she starts to learn my habits already ;3

I also heard my dad's bought a maasto mönkkäri, no idea what it could be in english but a picture is more than thousand words they say! I just can't wait to go for a ride with THAT!!!! wanna ride it in the forest, the model seems to be really good even in the woods!!! Okay i wont say it's the same as having a motor bike, one of my everlasting dreams, but anyway it's something XD aaaaaa need - to - go - for - a - ride .

Oh, sakura should be opening their flowers today, i dont know if the storm affects somehow, but anyway after a week it should be as its most beautiful!!! cant wait for that!!

8. Working, vampires and volunteering

A while's passed since my last post again, it's been busy-busy days (mostly). I started writing this in Wednesday night but was too tired to add the photos etc then, so dont be confused if I'm writing like it would be Wednesday lol. Here we go~

I've started doing those substitutions for schools and I really have to say I actually do enjoy of it!! You are the authority, the work is irregular and it's nice to talk with the teenagers (and who would have believed that). Even the salary is good so I can say I'm happy with my current job!

Thinking of it more I must be crazy to go back to school even after graduating...

The only minus side is that you only get the offers in the same morning or if your lucky the night before. Today I didn't have any offers, so I decided to stay home and wind down a bit for a chance. The weather was the most beautiful so I took a long drive and then just stayed at home, watching................ Vampire Diaries.

So we got to the next topic of the post. I DON'T KNOW HOW THIS HAPPENED BUT I'M ALL CRAZY ABOUT THE SERIES AND ANDANDANDand ;__________;

I never planned it to go like this, even my mom thinks it's weird I like the series XD We've watched the first and second seasons now with Kukka and Iris, today 10 episodes...................... T______T ten episodes of teen drama...... Yes I must have become lunatic.

But as we just finished the second season I decided to wait a little before progressing to the third one. Need to slow down a little bit lol ::__D I'm becoming pathetic. (note from friday: i already am impatient and feel like i should watch more XD have----to----keep on----------fighting)

However, on Saturday I took the 6:30am train and headed for Jyväskylä, where this year's YFU exchange students had their mid-year orientation!!

I was one of the 4 volunteers so I had a big part there, I leaded some workshops and so on but regardless of responsibilities, those kind of orientations always make me happy to be there ;3 I'm still on a great mood after four days, amazing  to see how the students have made so much progress both in their Finnish and with their personalities!

The cottage was in the middle of the forest and we even had to cook for ourselves :__D traditional finnish food....

Hahaha two of the girls love finnish metal so we dressed Sora and Scott like fans and even got them to try make-up and styled their hair : D

It's freaking cold these days, in Jyväskylä it was -30 degrees but here in Helsinki region it's not quite that bad... Still freezing.

The weekend will be busy cuz my schedule is filled with partying yey \o/ today I should have been in DTM opening party but was too lazy to get my ass out of the house...... well maybe it's just good cuz tomorrow I'll have to work again!! need to make as much money as possible!

Oh, I have done something useful even today, I called around different companies to get a travelling insurance and ordered some contact lenses for the trip~

They sent me an invite for an interview/audition from one of the schools I applied in Britain ;_;<3<3 that's a good news, but the bad news is, that I'll be in Japan at the very time... But I'll send them a mail and ask if it would be possible to do that through the skype or something XDD............ We shall wish for the best!

The schools I applied for were all drama/international relations, this one would be in Wales and the course is called Theatre, Television and Perfofrmance ('*w*') sounds so exciting!!

Today I shoulda worked again but in the morning I didnt feel well at all so I stayed in bed D::: but I'm better now thank god and after the post I'll start choosing clothes for the night, we'll go check out the new DTM today and before that go to Erica's for starters once again heha. So jealous for those who live right in the city center!
