24. Kapibara-san and a trip to Korea

Yesterrrrrday was great~<3

I made it out of house after the flu and it was nearly 20 degrees o(*,*)O' went to visit the school again with my ex area rep, she had to be there with her new exchange student and her host family~ it was so very nostalgic to listen how the principal told about the clubs and bunkasai and school trip and all :DD

They also took the sizes of the school uniforms for the two students and we waited in the school store (yep our school has its own store, there were even aoyama gakuin hello kittys O.O" i bought three pens and a hand towel ;3), i talked with the new teacher for an hour or so about how the world has become crazy and about the money situation etc, freedom and human rights... So i guess im a better person now haha
a boring-me-to-death look but i slept in late and had to run >,<
from the school shop!!

Annnnnnywayyy, after the school part we had a lunch with my area rep (soe-san from now on) and her son's wife who is now staying at their place because she has a 7-months-old baby and her own parents work so it's easier that way, it was some fancy sobayasan in omotesando. They were planning a trip to Thailand on Golden Week so we also went to the travel agency to book the right trip with the guided sightseeing and stuff, as you may know japanese love those kind of things..... I even heard there are Europe trips with 4 countries where you stay 2 days in each and see EVERYTHING with super schedule and then are dead in the end of each day ;__D but many ppl only book the travel with flights and hotel, so that there will be a guide that takes everyone to the hotel and after that you're on your own. Many times you might spare some money with those kind of 'package-trips'.

So what i had forgotten to announce here is, that i booked a trip to Korea about a month ago!! I'll fly from Osaka to Seoul on 30th April, and then come back to Japan on 7th May. Gonna be so greatttttttt~ The flights are from osaka, so after having returned to Japan i thought id also check out kansai a bit before returning to tokyo!! have never been there before, so will be interesting!! So it would be two weeks of travelling around and having some crazy time alone, and then back to Finland on 16th May.

At first i really didnt have any purpose to travel, but then i found this amazing blog that gave me some inspiration and made me wanna travel so badly, to take everything from these 3 months. So i booked the flights from the korean cheap flight company (that's the reason you cant go from tokyo) and a friend that made her exchange to korea told me a great youth hostel in the seoul center in the best place possible, or that's what she says, i dont have the slightest idea of anything that has something to do with korea, so it will be fun to see how it differents from japan! I have this image that koreans are more lively and vibrant, and the language sounds so exotic, i love it!! i wonder if i should learn the hangul marks before going hmmm.

So that's the news from here! One of the other reasons of taking off is that lately i've become more and more sure i'll go to kingston to study that fucking expensive course, so once i'll be there i wont have any money to travel for a while! So now i'll just have to take every opportunity i have, and yeah, it's much cheaper to travel to asia from here than from finland. I only paid 250 euros for the flights, and the hostel will be about 80 euros for a week, including breakfast O.O cheap!!

Yesterday i just got some travelling fever (i dont know if you can say that in english?!?) in that travel agency, and the wife of soe-san's son was kind and gave me a guide book, so i guess i should start planning a bit :DD 7 days of seoul!! i want to meet some friends too, so i hope you'll make have some time for me then ;) be prepared for giving me some guidance~

Oh i also got an invitation for dinner some day and an old phone she didnt need anymore that you can WATCH TELEVISION WITH ;__;<3<3 god bless you-i-dont-remember-your-name-but-yeah and your baby (  ´,`)~
some korean beer we got from the travel agency!! how kind :3
the phone and the guide book from the year 2000 but well the gesture was kind
aoyama gakuin 'goods'.... god, im fangirling my own school. guess i went to the right country as i fell in love with my school then...
i was shocked as i realized how big contrast there is in my hair O.O" there shouldnt be any XD the down seems nearly brown!!
see?? maybe i should colour it even darker hmmmm

Today there is a storm outside, so i just decided to stay home plus i think yesterday my flu got a bit worse because i went out sooooo another day at home....... but i took all out of it, i went to by some food (srsly, it was scary to ride a bike in that wind and rain) and WINE ;_;<3 when i was sick i bought a memembership for nordic tv and watched too many romantic comedies (tho friends with benefits was great, i might be in love with mila kunis aaaaa), so tonight i'll watch fast and furious and get a little drunk alone, eat pizza after a month fuck japanese pizza, tastes terrible, but well, it still is pizza and have a party yea.
oh btw i saw this on the grocery store and couldnt help laughing XDDD toilet paper with ocha flavor?!? (ocha=green tea) even the colour is green ;_D
the cheap wine i bought, but it's not that bad at all!!

And there will be my new buddy, i bought her yesterday and my life standard really arouse ;__; welcome to the family, i have wanted you for 3 long years and at last you're mine ;_;<3<3<3 lets live happy lives together~ i really needed something cute and fluffy now that my ruska puppy is not here D::: aaa i heard she's sleeping in my room every day how adorable is that ;_;_;;_;_;
she needs a name, now it's just howaito-chan (the white ones are called that way and i preferred this to brown)
she starts to learn my habits already ;3

I also heard my dad's bought a maasto mönkkäri, no idea what it could be in english but a picture is more than thousand words they say! I just can't wait to go for a ride with THAT!!!! wanna ride it in the forest, the model seems to be really good even in the woods!!! Okay i wont say it's the same as having a motor bike, one of my everlasting dreams, but anyway it's something XD aaaaaa need - to - go - for - a - ride .
Oh, sakura should be opening their flowers today, i dont know if the storm affects somehow, but anyway after a week it should be as its most beautiful!!! cant wait for that!!

Have good time and dont catch a spring flu!!!! (o ・,・ o)

13. Thank god it's Monday

Guuuuhh.

I'm feeling a bit better again, but 5 hours ago my feet were dead, i was tired and had eaten too much XD So a good kind of tiredness, would i say!

I met Chikako for the first time after a year and it was great!! Didnt feel like it would have been so long since the last time and nothing had really changed..! I hadnt yet visited the city center this time, and that too was pretty much the same :3 We met at Harajyuku, but soon moved to Shibuya while the karaoke there is so much cheaper (and you can drink as much as you want~ only soft drinks of course, or would you believe me trying alcohol?!? me neither.).

So we just wandered around, went to seek some nerd/ikemen fake eyeglasses, ate while walking and talking etc. I didnt remember i loved 109-2 so much!!!! Even if the shops would be closed, the building is amazing, i love the mirrors in the escalators and the walls and everything..!

Speaking of closed stores, if you are/come to tokyo i really recommend to check harajyuku's takeshitadoori out at night! If you go on sunday, the whole place will be so crowded that it takes about half an hour to even walk from one end to another and you cant stop even if you wanted, because you will be pushed ahead by the crowd. But at night time you couldnt even think the street to be used anymore! All the stores are closed and their doors are hidden by the walls (i dont know the name for those things, the kind of gates you pull from above....) and you can see graffiti everywhere. No people. Nowhere. It's amazing, you guys really should experience the difference!

Got distracted....... But yeah, we'll see again next week with a bigger group~ Haha today i went to the toilet of the karaoke place and remembered having taken a picture there for a loooong time ago, so i just have to make a re-take!! I just needed to put them both here for comparison XDD found the latter after a fight with my pic files :D
...today....
...and three years before! I really gained weight during the year. My hairstyle has became more boring, but the clothes are much better XD Tho i coloured blond this time, my real hair still is so much blonder..! Now it's more like brown right?? But i guess the biggest difference must have happened inside the core.

Like i already mentioned, yesterday we went to see koenji with otoosan. The shootengai was a-m-a-z-i-n-g, the whole place was like a mini-shibuya. It will be so convenient, you dont have to pay for train in order to do some shopping (food etc), and the streets were full of small restaurants with low prices, so the living will be cheaper than i had thought! With only 300 yen you could eat well and should even have to choose whether to eat chinese, udon, gyooza, raamen or hamburger!! Guess my blog will turn into a food blog soon..!

I really had thought i'd try hard and cook my own meals, i even brought with me the cook book okaasan bought me as a present during my exchange year! Guess it would be little hard to only cook for one person, so maybe we'll do that with my friends when they'll come for a visit :D So no need to worry about my poor cooking ability~

And it seems i can borrow a bike from my host family, too, so no worries about that either!! I get to save some many and the way between the station and Nekotalo (about 15 minutes by feet) will become shorter! The road seemed to be a little lonely too, so at nights i guess it will be better to ride a bike when going home.

Everything seems to go so smoothly and good that i'm a little afraid of falling all the way to the bottom fast and soon...! Lets hope my luck will last!

Nacchan (my host sister) also got a reply from YFU today ~(^,^)~ They will be glad to take me to the orientation as a returnee!!! We have a meeting on 18th March and the orientation itself will be held in Olympic center in Yoyogi-kooen (so nostalgic, that is where everything started for me as well ;_;<3<3) on 20th-24th March, five days volunteering for YFU again~~ Aah i wonder if i should inform the Finnish YFU about this, they could tell the students and their parents not to worry too much.

I already wrote about the Kingston University ordering me a place of my dreams for next year (joint degree in international relations and drama), but now that i've thought deeper about it, i really dont know what i should do D:::: Like i said, those subjects together are all i have wanted for a while, and even the place sounds perfect, London. I just dont know if it would be worth the money, because the study costs are 8,500 pounds a year >,< Living is not free either, and you should have to eat too.. We have free schools in Finland, and you could always go abroad as an exchange student, free.

Aaaa-a the situation makes me stress, i really dont know what to do........... the place of my dreams vs money, reason and reality. I know you cant always have what you desire most, but i already got the place, so why would i have, if i couldnt go there T_______T

I have no plans for tomorrow, so i will just wash some clothes (really looking forward for the weather becoming warm (  *-*) tomorrow we'll have 12 degrees by day!!!), eat well and try to look for a job here, as well as practice my monologues!! I havent quite decided yet witch ones to film, but maybe it's more about the presentation than the monologue. I'm just so bad at making decisions, that really is my week point.....

Long post, hope you enjoyed. I wish for the best for you all, and hope the snowstorms in Finland will stop soon too~ ( * ´,`)
