24. Kapibara-san and a trip to Korea

Yesterrrrrday was great~<3

I made it out of house after the flu and it was nearly 20 degrees o(*,*)O' went to visit the school again with my ex area rep, she had to be there with her new exchange student and her host family~ it was so very nostalgic to listen how the principal told about the clubs and bunkasai and school trip and all :DD

They also took the sizes of the school uniforms for the two students and we waited in the school store (yep our school has its own store, there were even aoyama gakuin hello kittys O.O" i bought three pens and a hand towel ;3), i talked with the new teacher for an hour or so about how the world has become crazy and about the money situation etc, freedom and human rights... So i guess im a better person now haha

Annnnnnywayyy, after the school part we had a lunch with my area rep (soe-san from now on) and her son's wife who is now staying at their place because she has a 7-months-old baby and her own parents work so it's easier that way, it was some fancy sobayasan in omotesando. They were planning a trip to Thailand on Golden Week so we also went to the travel agency to book the right trip with the guided sightseeing and stuff, as you may know japanese love those kind of things..... I even heard there are Europe trips with 4 countries where you stay 2 days in each and see EVERYTHING with super schedule and then are dead in the end of each day ;__D but many ppl only book the travel with flights and hotel, so that there will be a guide that takes everyone to the hotel and after that you're on your own. Many times you might spare some money with those kind of 'package-trips'.

So what i had forgotten to announce here is, that i booked a trip to Korea about a month ago!! I'll fly from Osaka to Seoul on 30th April, and then come back to Japan on 7th May. Gonna be so greatttttttt~ The flights are from osaka, so after having returned to Japan i thought id also check out kansai a bit before returning to tokyo!! have never been there before, so will be interesting!! So it would be two weeks of travelling around and having some crazy time alone, and then back to Finland on 16th May.

At first i really didnt have any purpose to travel, but then i found this amazing blog that gave me some inspiration and made me wanna travel so badly, to take everything from these 3 months. So i booked the flights from the korean cheap flight company (that's the reason you cant go from tokyo) and a friend that made her exchange to korea told me a great youth hostel in the seoul center in the best place possible, or that's what she says, i dont have the slightest idea of anything that has something to do with korea, so it will be fun to see how it differents from japan! I have this image that koreans are more lively and vibrant, and the language sounds so exotic, i love it!! i wonder if i should learn the hangul marks before going hmmm.

So that's the news from here! One of the other reasons of taking off is that lately i've become more and more sure i'll go to kingston to study that fucking expensive course, so once i'll be there i wont have any money to travel for a while! So now i'll just have to take every opportunity i have, and yeah, it's much cheaper to travel to asia from here than from finland. I only paid 250 euros for the flights, and the hostel will be about 80 euros for a week, including breakfast O.O cheap!!

Yesterday i just got some travelling fever (i dont know if you can say that in english?!?) in that travel agency, and the wife of soe-san's son was kind and gave me a guide book, so i guess i should start planning a bit :DD 7 days of seoul!! i want to meet some friends too, so i hope you'll make have some time for me then ;) be prepared for giving me some guidance~

Oh i also got an invitation for dinner some day and an old phone she didnt need anymore that you can WATCH TELEVISION WITH ;__;<3<3 god bless you-i-dont-remember-your-name-but-yeah and your baby (  ´,`)~

Today there is a storm outside, so i just decided to stay home plus i think yesterday my flu got a bit worse because i went out sooooo another day at home....... but i took all out of it, i went to by some food (srsly, it was scary to ride a bike in that wind and rain) and WINE ;_;<3 when i was sick i bought a memembership for nordic tv and watched too many romantic comedies (tho friends with benefits was great, i might be in love with mila kunis aaaaa), so tonight i'll watch fast and furious and get a little drunk alone, eat pizza after a month fuck japanese pizza, tastes terrible, but well, it still is pizza and have a party yea.

oh btw i saw this on the grocery store and couldnt help laughing XDDD toilet paper with ocha flavor?!? (ocha=green tea) even the colour is green ;_D

the cheap wine i bought, but it's not that bad at all!!

And there will be my new buddy, i bought her yesterday and my life standard really arouse ;__; welcome to the family, i have wanted you for 3 long years and at last you're mine ;_;<3<3<3 lets live happy lives together~ i really needed something cute and fluffy now that my ruska puppy is not here D::: aaa i heard she's sleeping in my room every day how adorable is that ;_;_;;_;_;

she needs a name, now it's just howaito-chan (the white ones are called that way and i preferred this to brown)

she starts to learn my habits already ;3

I also heard my dad's bought a maasto mönkkäri, no idea what it could be in english but a picture is more than thousand words they say! I just can't wait to go for a ride with THAT!!!! wanna ride it in the forest, the model seems to be really good even in the woods!!! Okay i wont say it's the same as having a motor bike, one of my everlasting dreams, but anyway it's something XD aaaaaa need - to - go - for - a - ride .

Oh, sakura should be opening their flowers today, i dont know if the storm affects somehow, but anyway after a week it should be as its most beautiful!!! cant wait for that!!

Actually i haven't been sleeping after that last post as the night just.. vanished somewhere, and i ended up spending it all in MSN hehehe. My 11 facts 

(wrote this ready yesterday noon, but dont think many of the facts have radically changed in the last 24 hours so.. XD)

1. i often hear i seem like the only child, scary isnt it... i have this horrible image of only childs >,<"

2. i hate my laughter

3. i actually have strong opinions and a lot of them, the perfect plans of how everything should be, but im always paranoid of what ppl think about me so i keep on pushing them down and sometimes i even find myself trying to please others. like not really please but for example leave my own thoughts unsaid and accompany to what the other ppl say. that's the feature i really do loathe in myself. but when it comes to speaking about feelings i have no problems.

4. i love driving and that's one of the things i miss the most from finland. next summer i'd love to make a night drive, just take off to somewhere and keep on going, listen to the music, maybe talk deep things if i had someone with me and watch the sun set and rise. would be nice.

5. i have eyeglasses i nearly ever use. i even use contact lenses only on the days i really do want to see well lol. im gonna buy new glasses so it would be pleasant to use them (those kind of with bold black/grey/brown spectacles), now i only have those old craps that make me look like a secretary....

6. food and eating are my passions. like really. really. really. i really enjoy different flavours and taste conbinations and eat all the time and yeah... gladly im not one of the ppl who fatten easily, id be doomed :__D maybe i should start doing some sports tho.... cant be healthy not to move at all.... but then again im too lazy for that..

7. ppl with a passion for something are the most attractive ones. passion for life, passion for a certain hobby, passion to be successful, passion for music, passion for themselves. i adore ppl with dreams that they really want to acchieve.

8. i love history and cultures and languages and international stuff and aaah. you got the point. something like that i'd love to do in the future. live abroad every now and then, travell... i dont need a big apartment, i'd rather have a cool car or bike, money for travelling and have adventures etc, live in a big old city... i love big cities. okay more than one fact XDD

9. at the moment im really looking forward to summer. i know it means my time here will be over, and i dont want that, but still... i love finnish summer and im sure this one will be the best one ever. i will make it the best. and if i will go to britain in autumn i want to do every single thing i have to do before leaving!! funny, i actually never used to like summers that much.. my favourite season is autumn tho, even still. then you can use jackets and dress properly, the smell of the leaves, the rains that fall and aaaaa  ;_;<3 darkness that starts to make its way back...

11. i write poems and lyrics. lately not that often but i've noticed it always helps to clear my mind when im distressed or feeling strong emotions.

1. If you could meet anyone on this earth, who would it be?

I'd want to meet a guy full of old wisdom, someone who would have been born in the worst conditions ever but then been lucky to rise, make money and been successful in his life, have been to many interesting places and situations and doesnt need anything anymore and feels continent with how his life was. Someone with great ideas and no regrets.

2. If you are outside, what are you most likely doing?

Not sure if this means outside like out in the nature or out with friends, but if i really am out out, then im walking my dog, if im out like in Helsinki or so, then properly drinking.. not always in a bar but at a friend's place or picnic etc :D or just hanging around in someone's home, eating, playing...

3. What's your strangest talent?

Hmmmh no idea about my talents!! i dont even know any normal talents i'd have but i go with getting ppl to talk easily and tell about their problems when i want to know what's wrong :-d speaking of strange talents my lil sister, soon 17, can speak nearly any movie she has seen by heart and it really is fucking amazing O.O no idea how she does it!!

4. What was the last lie you told?

It must have been when i said i havent been having a boyfriend for a while. (i have never had one)

5. How do you vent your anger?

With music, going out and breathing some fresh air, with aggressive behaviour and things, writing, or then speaking with a friend. I really suck at venting my anger, when i really am angry there's no chance i could stop myself saying things i mean. but anyway i dont say things i dont mean.

6. What's a sound you hate; sound you love?

I hate the sound of nails scratching carton, the kind of brown thick paper >,< makes me feel sick; love the sound of fingers sliding on the strings of acoustic guitar that you may hear in some songs and the sound of rain and thunder. 

7. Smell the air. What do you smell?

Nothing because of this fucking cold D:: but im eating ice cream~

8. What's the worst injury you've ever had and how did you get it?

I really havent had any injuries as i recall...!! Once a dog bit me to my throat and i needed to take antibiotics. After that i didnt like dogs at all until we got ours XD my family only told me the day before like 'hey we're gonna get this puppy tomorrow', it was awful!!

9. If the whole world were listening to you right now, what would you say?

I'd proparly freeze and couldnt speak at all, im a terrible speaker XD but lets forget about that and play with the idea a bit. i'd surely say the life is too short to be sad and have regrets, and that everyone should try to catch their dreams instead of only putting up with what feels the easiest thing to do. oh, and that money is spent so wrong on this earth and that US isnt the whole world. that humankind should think more about the crap we have caused to this planet and all these basic things i think everyone should say.

10. What do you think is Satan's last name?

This one!! Interestinggg. I think it's the secret of this planet, the very information we need the most but only are too afraid to go and get.

11. What would you want to be written on your tombstone?

Some aforism that would describe my attitude towards the life. Im sure ppl will forget you after some decades anyway so i guess it wouldnt really matter tho.

So here we are, hope it was interesting to read. Aah im feeling so good right now, have such a comfortable position and just the right amount of blankets, stomach full of tasty yakisoba and an ice cream in my hand.. Even the fever seems to be gone. Feeling slightly sleepy and having great background music. Yesterday night i heard jason mraz has more good songs than just the radio hit 'im yours', so i gave it a try and what a great and happy surprise!! I'm totally in love with some of the songs so i'll hit you with one. This one even suits my situation perfectly<3 enjoy the rhythm and the jamming singing♪ im gonna sleep lol

22. YFY spirit and a cold

Hullo, long time no write.

So i was in the YFU Japan arrival orientation as a returnee for five sleepless days and just came home late in the evening of the 24th, that's the reason for not having updated lately. At the very moment i feel like a shit: my head hurts and throat is full of crap >,<" i ate some medicines yesterday so the fever is gone luckily---!!

So time to spend some time at home and cure this i think. Tho tomorrow i have no choice but to leave the house at least for some grocery shopping. Minus sides of living alone i guess.

Anywayzzz, it always gives me spirits to go on after having took part to a yfu orientation!! The energy, the hunger of life, the tension, the high hopes and excitement that you can feel in every movement of the students makes me try harder, to live deeper and to appreciate every single thing i have. It makes me more positive and gives strength to keep on going and trying the impossible. Sounds surreal but that's how i feel for weeks after an orientation session!! And there you have your own little spotlight and can raise your self-esteem as you get to stand in front of all the ppl and know you are the specialist in what you talk about and know that every word you say is important for those ppl to hear and that they really do listen to what you have to say!!

Plus the international atmosphere, interesting returnees that have the exchange experience of their own and can speak several languages *ww* makes me wanna travel and see everything and and and aaaaaa<3 makes me be more positive.

This time it also was nice to see how capable of speaking i actually am!! I got like hundreds of praises of my japanese skills, heard i have 'no accent' and speak 'like a native' from many many times from dozens of returnees/yfu staff/area reps, and of course i know it's not the truth and i have fucking much to learn but it's still nice to hear tho!! Every night we had a quite official meeting and i hadn't the slightest problem to catch up on the topics (  ´,`)~<3

But it makes me sad that once i'll be back in finland this all will vanish again for a while :/ and i cant write kanji anymore even if i could read them --__--"

There were some returnees that had been in my arrival orientation three years ago too, there were such a great ppl and some of which i really, really do look up to. I hate keigo (the the the hmmm... official and polite language you use when you talk to ppl you dont know/sempais etc) when there is no real respect behind it and when the person you talk to is only a year or two older than you and basically in the same kind of life situation, but to some of the ppl in the orientation i would use it even if it wasnt for the 'rules' and manners. I love the feeling you get when you manage to make a proper conversation with someone you respect, when you make a joke/good point etc and get good laughs for that, it just makes my day!! I wonder if someone would look up to me too. Those kind of moments are the ones that make me love doing substitutions in schools hehe

Anyway, when the camp was over and students on their ways to homes we had a little after party among some of us returnees where everyone were falling asleep in some point of the evening :__D we went to eat at first, then to a british pub i really fell in love with, and in the end to bowling and i really sucked XDD what happened to my once so great bowling skills?!? Before we even started drinking i was laughing at every single thing because of the tiredness, i mean i had slept for maybe a 20 hours during the last 5 days and ran from one place to another the whole week, had to use thinking skills and be social whole time etc. Tho the aarcs who were the 'bosses' this time slept even less, for like 2-3 hours a night >,<" japanese working morality is high. otsukaresama for all of us.

Hmmm i dont know what exactly should i tell about the camp so here some pics :D

The olympic center where it all took place. so nostalgic, this is the very place i first came to in japan, even the rooms we slept in this time were same and aaaa i still remember the frustration cuz we could see the tokyo's high buildings and lights from there but it was forbidden to sneak out... i guess if i hadnt been that young and naive enough to actually listen to those rules back then no-one would have noticed anything...

Japanese cultural lessons!

The last night we arranged this farewell party thing where every country had to presentate their own culture with a performance :D we made our own too, it was a surprise tho :D fashion show with a school uniform couple (me and andre[half german so that's why the non-japanese name]), otaku couple (ami-chan and shuutaroo hahahahaha he was like a real otaku lollll) and then yukata couple (yuumen and marei)! We all did some dance hahaha practising was so much fun, otakus danced the caramel dancen, the traditional japanese bon-odori and us two tsukematsukeru :__D

I have a video of us dancing it in our uniforms but last time i tried to uploaded a video here i heard there had been problems watching it so i guess i dont upload it then :/// here is the song tho, the part we danced starts 2:22 a little kawaii to this blog too

I had to upload this too!! Yesterday morning, i had stayed up until 6am way to cure your flu and lack of sleep and suddenly the sun was rising and it was really beautiful ;3

Too bad i didnt get the puris we took together, only the paper version and yeah i also lack the group photo :/ Well we decided to make hanami afterwards with YFU returnees will be so much fun :3 and we also made plans of everyone coming here and we'd just drink the whole night XD sounds fun for me~

21. Lately purchases and school pics from exchange times

Today it's rainy and i really wouldnt like to go out but i'm gonna meet a friend and have a dinner later today, so before that i'll just stay in with my pasokon and drink hot chocolate~<3

I dont think i've posted any pics of the stuff i've bought since coming here so i tried to take pictures of everything, i have this feeling tho i might have forgotten something hmmm....

well here we go with the first one!! the jeans/leggins i already tried once on with suski and elina but decided not to buy them XD then in gazetto's live i saw this girl who had them on and they looked so hot i just had to go and buy them!! price was about 2800 yen so not bad at all~

love them so much, i must have been crazy for having thought not to buy them in the first place o.o"

From mind blowing we get to the next piece of clothing ;____;<3 isnt he fabulous??? I fell in love so badly but the price was TOO much (5000 yen yeah..) so i thought i should leave him there and i did, twice. first time i had it aside waiting for my decision, and after proving it on again i just had to leave it because of the prize D:: i was hart-broken and bought ice cream for comfort and we went to kiddy land to buy suski the enormous bunny soft toy, but on our way back i couldnt take it anymore and we hurried back to zenmall and i bought it 5 minutes before closing time XDD

The material is soft and hairy-ish and the buttons are white diamonds *w* this too has the iron wire inside!! i had  wanted this kind of shirt for years!!

These two I bought in a flea-market in koenji the couple of days before~ bought 525 yen so not bad!.

.........dont ask about this one XD i doubt i'll ever use  it but it was _so_cute_ and didnt cost much so i just had to take it with XDDD maybe i can give it as a present for a friend and blackmail them to use it all the time so i get to just look it XD sometimes i wonder if im mentally stable but yeah, next..

3300 yen, ichimarukyuu. i look forward for summer so i get to use them~ the shop where i bought them, CRYX, used to be my favourite in 2009 when i was in exchange ;3 even the bag i got them in was leopard couture XD no, i dont have obsession with neither leopard couture nor red colour..

These are from a small shoe shop near the koenji station! in sale for 3000 yen, normal price over 8000! satisfied hahahaa. i still want to change the shoelaces to another colour tho. 

Some accessories~ the circle-scarf from Harajuku, 500 yen, and the fake nerd glasses from 109 men's, 1050 yen! haha i sent some pics to home the other day and had the glasses on in some of the them, and my mom was like 'i love your glasses they fit you so well!!' XD so thanks mom~

these are from claire's shibuya shop, they had the sale and some accessories were 500 yen/ 5 pieces!!!

That's about it! Been here for exactly a month now btw!! So its kind of well done that i havent bought more clothes tho i've been shopping so many times XDD My friend Laura asked me for a favor, and i got the shirt finally (it was sold out so they ordered me one more) yesterday, so i think i can as well put the pics of it here!!

Ghost of Harlem doesnt ship overseas so im gonna be the shopping service!! actually i dont mind at all, even tho you dont shop for yourself it gives a great satisfaction to buy stuff and then carry them around, i believe you guys know what im talking about... i should start making business out of this!! I'd only need loads of popular shops that dont ship overseas and then ppl to want their stuff so i could just shop and shop and shop without losing any money haha! Maybe take ~5 euros as a price :D

It's so hot! I think i'll keep it myself if you dont mind laura XD you can have the catalogue :D

Of course i've bought all the food etc stuff i need in daily life plus some cds but they are not very interesting XD Speaking of food, i decided to keep a 'food diary' for a week, take the pic of every  meal i have and then post it in here hahahaha<3 food is one of my greatest loves in life and since a pic of some okonomiyaki i posted on facebook got something like 30 likes i thought it interests ppl enough so just wait for it ::D this is the fourth day so 3 more days to go :----DD

Lately i've been kinda busy, today is the 3rd day i go to eat out, yesterday it was our former class, the day before the club (i was in mandolin-mandola-guitar club!) and today mizuki who couldnt come then :33 We also visited our school yesterday and the place had changed SO MUCH, the building is all new and aaa.....!!! I wouldnt even have known its the same place if i hadnt known D:::::

 

I dont have my old pics at the computer now, but this is from google, the old entrance and building (this doesnt show much, there is a round little garden in front of the entrance and it was really impressing), but this is the pic i took yesterday D:

it's like.... WTF?!? XD well i guess i just must be lucky i got to go to the old one, it was so pretty and old and great. and it has many great memories.

Even the parts that still remained from the old building are going to vanish soon :// tho we made a little trip there and explored the old parts :3

The campus was still like in the old good days, only the high school section had changed (the campus is huge so you cannot see it here, its in the far far far right corner, i remember so many mornings i ran this way while the bells rang, then into the building and up to the third floor, always late).

Oh my oh my. So long time passed already, it feels like 10 years, i've changed, ppl's changed, the SCHOOL is changed and now when i look those old pics and the memories come back it feels even much more than i used to think...!! OH GOD I JUST REALIZED IT WAS EXACTLY THIS DAY 3 YEARS AGO WE LANDED IN JAPAN! O.O 17th of march! feels more than 3 years XD
