15. My home、 祖師ヶ谷大蔵

So here I am with a pic post as promised~

Today I walked a little around our station, Soshigayaookura, and took pictures for you~ We live in shootengai and my host family used to have a pharmacy, so the house has a shop in one end. I'm sorry for bad quality, i didnt want to look like a silly tourist so i tried to snap the pictures as fast as possible when no-one was looking XDD

I'll show you some of my favourite spots!!

This is what i see when i go out of the door~ We dont live quite on the station, you have to walk maybe 6 minutes to get there. The main street, however.
At the station (eki from now on, eki=station in japanese). Quite lively and many little shops! You can also buy clothes, but i have never done that here.
Ultramaaaaaaaaannn!! The statue is behind the station, and on the other end of the street there is a kind of a gate over the road and ultraman flies on the top of it XD It was invented here in Kinuta, so the whole eki is full of it. The music that is played when the train arrives to the platform is from Ultraman, the streetlights have small Ultraman figures inside of them and the tops are cool shaped (look the first pic^ there's a streetlight in the right corner)!!
'Book off' at the station!! I used to go there _every day when coming home from school. Really cool place, sells used records, books, DVDs, manga and magazines. If you go to Shibuya, there is an enormous one and they are very cheap. Manga, for example, 100 yen each.
Lawson. 7ELEVEN. FamilyMart. Sunkus. ampm. They can be found everywhere, really convenient (japanese word konbini comes from the english term convenient store). I think there are 4 of them in 10 minutes from our house. Open 24/7 and you can buy warm food, candies, drinks, magazines etc. Not expensive like all the small shops in Finland. You can even withdraw money with mastercard (i always use post offices for my visa electron). In Japan everything is made to be 'benri' (=convenient), and konbini is one of the highlights of the benri culture. (this week a 7eleven will be opened right next to the home and okaasan was really glad about it, it will be so benri, tho we already have 4 nearby. The benrier the better.)
I love japanese drug stores. We have maybe 5-6 on our eki!! They sell everything you really need in your daily life. Minus salmiakki. Lets look inside~
All cute and fluffy~ they also have those small screens that explains you how to use a product.
Now this is what all have been waiting im sure XD the famous 100 yen shop. Everything is basically 105 yen (5% of taxes), unless said other. They have amazing stuff, my pencil case ive been using (well not that much :___D) for 3 years is from Daisoo, they sell all kinds of stuff, head phones, maps, decoration suff, make-up... And the most of it is not crap but useful items believe me. We have two here in soshigaya.
Food for 105 yen. Like real, real-life food you can make a dinner with. (i hope there's one near me in koenji too)
Drinks! Those were all 105 yen/two cans.
Powder puffs. So many different puffs to choose from! Not only one option, that's most amazing thing imo.
tattadaaaa
Dorama. Sellling/renting books/dvds/manga/games/cds. This one is for sale, but we have another a little further from the eki and they rent stuff (really cheap compared to Finland, one night 100 yen, one week 300 yen etc).
DVDs.
Manga.
CDs and a small screen again!! Love them~
Found this (didnt buy tho) and i thought the finnish dudes could be interested in it, it's a finnish-japanese movie about a japanese woman who has a restaurant 'lokki' in helsinki. Its a bit strange, but many japanese really LOVE it, especially the elderly ppl!! Many have seen it XD
My favourite place hahaha<3  'okashi machioka' sells cheap candies~
My NO1 chocolate ever: kitkat ;_; greentea is the best one but they didnt have it here now
Far better than pocky, more chocolate and it's inside the stick
Coalaaass
Salad as a chips taste can be good, trust me.
I LOVE SEMBEI ;_; traditional japanese cookies/chip kind of things!!!
More of them ;3
THIS.
And the park! Sakura is so beautiful in April here! Cant wait ;333
To the end a pic of me looking absolutely fabulous and very interesting today~

So that was it. Some of my favourite places here in Spshigaya. Gonna go and sleep early today, it's only 11pm now and im gonna sleep already, can you imagine that ;_;<3 Have to get up early tomorrow as im gonna meet a friend~ Also gonna buy a prepaid phone soon!

Good night sleep tight
